He died in 1954 at the age of 82 at The Six Bells in Ruislip, Middlesex. Arthur was buried on 7 September 1954 at St Martin in Ruislip, Middlesex. Appears on the 1901 census living in Reservoir Lane, Ruislip Common, Middlesex and working as a Carman. By 1911 the family are living at The Ferns, Ruislip Common, Arthur is now described as a Farmer.
