263. Joseph STEVENS was born on 3 September 1819 in Harefield, Middlesex. He was baptized on 17 October 1819 at St Mary the Virgin in Harefield, Middlesex.

The 1851 census finds Joseph listed as a visitor in the household of James CHILD at Cat Hill, East Barnet, his occupation is recorded as an Agricultural Labourer.

By 1861 Joseph has married and is living in Hillingdon with his wife and children, he is working as a Gardener.

In 1871 the family are living in Chalk Hill Lane, Bushey, Hertfordshire, Joseph is still a Gardener.

By 1881 the family have moved to 2 Old Tan Yard, Watford and Joseph is again a Gardener.

Joseph STEVENS and Charlotte BARRETT were married in 1858. Registration: in October 1858–December 1858 in R.D. Watford Vol 3a Page 445. Charlotte BARRETT was born about 1830 in Romsey, Hants.

Joseph STEVENS and Charlotte BARRETT had the following children:

515	i.	Joseph Mark STEVENS was born about 1859 in Hillingdon, Middlesex.
516	ii.	Emma STEVENS was born about 1861 in Hillingdon, Middlesex.
517	iii.	Mary Ann STEVENS was born about 1869 in Bushey, Hertfordshire.
