1010. Derek Ive O'HARA was born on 14 February 1928 in Hadley Wood. He died on 19 October 1998 at the age of 70 in Haywards Heath, Sussex. The London Gazette dated 16 May 1950 carries the annoucement of the appointment of 607051 Derek Ive O'HARA as a Pilot Officer in the Equipment Branch from the 5 April 1950, after passing out from Cranwell.

The London Gazette of 30 December 1980 carries the following in the New Year's Honours List:

Derek Ive O'HARA and Angela Elizabeth MARCHAND were married on 21 March 1953 in Sayers Common, West Sussex. Angela Elizabeth MARCHAND was born on 6 June 1927 in Ascot, Berkshire.

Derek Ive O'HARA and Angela Elizabeth MARCHAND had the following children:
