Charles IVE was born on 13 July 1885 in Batchworth, nr. Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. Birth Registration: R.D. Watford Vol 3a Page 534 between July 1885 and September 1885 . He died on 5 November 1921 at the age of 36 in Hospital of St J & St E, Marylebone.

Charles served in the Royal Navy in World War One, he joined up 0n 11th December 1916 and was demobbed on 11th March 1919. Subsequent to his demobilisation, Charles enlisted in the Royal Marine Light Infantry on 12th March 1919, he served in the RMLI until 17th November 1919 when he was discharged to the Naval Reserve.
