He died on 5 November 1934 at the age of 59 at The Court, Royal Marine Parade in Brighton, Sussex. William had his estate probated on 17 December 1934 in London. On the 1891 census William is a pupil at a Grammar School in Newbury. Appears on the 1901 census living at 45 Bedford Street, St Martin in the Fields and is described as a Licensed Victualler. The address at Bedford Street has been identified as the Green Man public house in the 1902 Post Office Directory with William IVE as Licensee, the premises are now (2004) an Indian resturaunt called the Strand Tandoori. William IVE and Florence Adelaide BRYER were married on 10 August 1897 at St James, Hatcham in Greenwich, Kent. Florence Adelaide BRYER, daughter of Frederick BRYER, was born about 1872 in London.
