Memorial: HELLES MEMORIAL George joined the Gloucestershire Regiment in March 1900 he served 12 years with them and rose to the rank of Lance Corporal. The majoritiy of his service was spent abroad, firstly in the Cape Colony and Transvaal, then in India. He appears to have re-enlisted early in World War One and he was killed in action at Gallipoli on 28 June 1915, having landed there on the first day of the campaign, 25 April 1915.

Edward was in the Royal Garrison Artillery in WW1 and died in Iraq, the likely cause of his death was through illness rather than enemy action.
