293. Edward IVE was born in 1851 in Ruislip, Middlesex. He was baptized on 31 August 1851 at St Margaret in Uxbridge, Middlesex.

Appears on the 1871 census lodging with his sister Rosina EDLIN, at Ealing Common, and working as a Hay Dealer.

Edward IVE and Lavinia Jane GROUT were married on 14 April 1874 at St Leonard in Streatham, Surrey. Lavinia Jane GROUT, daughter of Joseph GROUT and Ann E. [--?--], was born about 1854 in Streatham, Surrey.

Lavinia does not appear on the 1861 census with the rest of her family and at present her whereabouts are unknown.

Appears on the 1881 Census staying at The Farm, Greyhound Lane, Streatham, Surrey with her widowed mother Anne who is described as a farmer of 130 acres employing 6 labourers and 2 boys. Edward does not appear at this address.

On the 1891 census Lavinia is living in the household of Rebecca WOLFF, she is described a a servant with her occupation given as Nurse Medical, she is said to be married but there is no trace of Edward her husband.

Appears on the 1901 census living at 9 Ellora Road, Streatham she is described as a monthly nurse, her marital status is described as "married" not widowed but again there is no sign of Edward.

Charles Edward IVE was born on 19 January 1875 in Brixton, Surrey. He was baptized on 3 September 1876 at St Leonard in Streatham, Surrey.

The 1891 census has Charles lodging in the household of Robert MAYNARD at 13 Dickenson Lane, Croydon, he is working as an Agricultural Labourer.

Charles enlisted in the Royal Navy on 12th September 1894 for a period of 12 years, he subsequently bought himself out on 28th April 1899, his rank was Stoker.

Appears on the 1901 census again lodging with the MAYNARD family, the address is now 8 Dickensons Place, Croydon, Surrey and working as a Steam Shop Stoker.
