3. John IVE died about 1684.

The following is a transcript of John's Will written in 1684:

In the name of God Amen I John Ive of Burnham in the County of Buckinghamshire being sick in body but of sane and perfect mind and memory thanks be therefore to Almighty God do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following

Imprimis I give and bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God my most merciful Creator trusting assuredly through the ?????? of Jesus Christ my most Gracious Redeemer to enjoy everlasting life and my body to the earth to be decently buried according to the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named and as for the worldly estate wherewith it has pleased Almighty God to bless me I give and bequeath in manner following

Imprimis I give and devise unto my sonne John Ive all that my messuage or tenement with the appurtenances wherein I now dwell situate and being in Burnham aforesaid in the said County of Bucks and also all those my five acres of enclosed and Common fields arable land lying in Burnham aforesaid in the County of Bucks now belonging to and by me used with my said messuage or tenement and also all that my messuage Cottage or tenement with the appurtenances situate and being in Burnham aforesaid and next adjoining to my said dwelling house towards the South and now in the tenure or occupation of Jeremiah ?????? to have and to hold the same messuages five acres of arable land and hereditaments with their appurtenances unto my said sonne John Ive and the heirs of his body lawfully to be begotten and for default of such issue then I give and devise the same messuages five acres of arable land and hereditaments and their appurtenances unto my daughter Mary Ive and to the heirs of her body lawfully to be begotten and for default of such issue the I give and devise the same messuages five acres of arable land and hereditaments and their appurtenances unto my Cousin John Ive sonne of my late brother William Ive late of Horse Harness in the parish of Burnham aforesaid yeoman deceased and to the heirs and assigns of my said Cousin John Ive forever

Item I give and devise unto my said daughter Mary Ive all that my messuage or tenement and all those my orchards lands at Lent or elsewhere in the said parish of Burnham in the County of Bucks which I lately purchased to me and my heirs of and from Andrew Croft of Burnham aforesaid gardener to have and to hold the same messuage or tenement orchards lands tenements and hereditaments with their appurtenances which I lately purchased of and from the said Andrew Croft as aforesaid unto my said daughter Mary Ive and to the heirs of her body lawfully to be begotten and for default of such issue I give and devise the same messuage or tenement orchards lands tenements and hereditaments with their appurtenances which I lately purchased of and from the said Andrew Croft as aforesaid unto my said sonne John Ive and the heirs of his body lawfully to be begotten and for default of such issue then I give and devise the same messuage or tenement orchards lands tenements and hereditaments with their appurtenances which I lately purchased of and from the said Andrew Croft as aforesaid unto my said Cousin John Ive sonne of my said late brother William Ive and to the heirs and assigns of my said Cousin John Ive forever

Item I give and bequeath unto my brother in law Henry Sawyer of New Windsor the summe of fifty shillings lawful English money

Item I give and bequeath unto my loving friend Edward Goldwin of East Burnham in the parish of Burnham aforesaid maltster the like summe of fifty shillings lawful English money

I give and bequeath unto my said Cousin John Ive the summe of fifty shillings lawful English money

All the rest and residue of my goods chattels and personal estate whatsoever not hereinbefore bequeathed I give and bequeath unto my said sonne John Ive and my said daughter Mary Ive equally amongst them to be divided

And lastly I do hereby make and ordain my said loving friend Edward Goldwin my said Cousin John Ive and my said daughter Mary Ive Executors of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I the said John Ive have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal this two and twentieth day of August Anno Dm 1684 and in the six and thirtieth years of the reign of our Sovereign Lord King Charles the second of England X the mark of John Ive

Signed sealed published and declared by the above named John Ive as his last will and testament in the presence of Edw. ??????? ?????? Goldwin Nathan ????????
