Peter IVE died about 1685 in Stanwell, Middlesex. This is a transcript of Peter Ive's Will written in 1681: In the Name of God Amen The Third day of August in the the three and thirtieth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord Charles the Second by the grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith ???? ???? 1681 I Peter Ive of Stanwell in the County of Middlesex Gardiner being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind (Praise be therefore given to Almighty God) do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) First I commend my soul to the hands of Almighty God and my body to the Earth to be decently buried in the churchyard of the Parish of Burnham at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named And as ????????? the disposition of all such temporal Estate as it hath pleased God to bestow on me I give and dispose thereof as followeth First I will that my debts and Funeral expenses shall be paid and discharged Item I give devise and bequeath unto my kinswoman Sarah Ive daughter of William Ive late of Burnham aforesaid deceased the sum of fifty pounds of lawful money of England to be paid unto her when her brother John Ive shall attain unto the age of one and twenty years Item I give devise and bequeath unto William Ive Peter Ive Mary Ive and Edward Ive four other children of my Brother William Ive deceased the sum of fifty pounds a piece of lawful money of England to be paid to them respectively as they shall respectively attain to the of one and twenty years And if it shall happen any of them the said Sarah Ive William Ive Peter Ive Mary Ive and Edward Ive do die and depart this life before they shall respectively attain to the age of one and twenty years or their legacies become due then my will and meanig is that the said several and respective sum or sums of money shall be equally divided and given to and amongst the survivor or survivors of them Item whereas there is the sum of seventy five pounds of lawful money of England given by the Last Will and Testament of my said brother William Ive devised to be disposed by me as Executor amongst his said children my will is that my Cozen John Ive eldest son of my said brother William Ive shall have the said sum of seventy five pounds to his own use And if any of the said children of my said brother (viz) William Sarah Peter Mary and Edward shall refuse to release and discharge my said Executors of the said sum of seventy five pounds then my will and meaning is that the sum of fifteen pounds a piece shall be respectively deducted out of the several and respective sums of fifty pounds a piece before bequeathed by this will from ???? of them do respectively ??????? to discharge my said Executors as aforesaid Item I give that all my two freehold messuages or tenements with the appurtenances situate in Burham aforesaid one in the possession of my said brother John Ive and the other in the possession of Jeremiah Nash Item I give devise and bequeath unto my couzin John Ive eldest son of my said brother William Ive his heirs and assigns forever all those my four acres of land lying and being in the said Parish of Burnham three acres of the same being arable land the lane leading from Burnham aforesaid to Wycombe being on the West side and a close called ????? on the North the other acre is planted ????? ??? and is now in the possession of Andrew Cross of Burham aforesaid gardener but my will and meaning is that the said Andrew Cross shall have hold and enjoy the said last mentioned one acre of planted land to his own use during his natural life rendering the yearly rent of eight shillings per Annum to the said John Ive my brother Williams son his heirs and assigns Item I give and bequeath unto John Ive and Mary Ive children of my said brother John Ive the sum of five pounds a piece of lawful money of England I give and bequeath unto John ?????? son of John ?????? of Stanwell aforesaid blacksmith and to Sarah Hayward daughter of Christopher Hayward of Woburn in the County of Bucks the sum of ten shillings a piece Item my will and meaning is that my Executors hereinafter named shall satisfy and pay themselves out of my Estate all such reasonable charges expenses and disbursements as they shall ???? and expend in prosecuting and managing the trust heeby expressed in them Item I do make constitute and appoint my said brother John Ive Walter Langton of Hitcham in the said County of Bucks yeoman and the said John Ive son of my said brother William Ive deceased Executors of this my Last Will and Testament Item my will and meaning is that if there shall remain any surplus of my personal estate after my legacies paid and funeral expenses shall be discharged it shall be equally divided amongst the children of my said brother William Ive deceased when the youngest of them shall attain to the age of one and twenty years But my will is that my said Executors shall assist the said children of my said brother William Ive with ???????
