Living at South End Lodge, Langley Marish as a farmer of 313 acres employing 18 men and 3 boys at the time of the 1881 census. The following entry appears in the Will indexes:- "1888. IVE, John Goodwin. Personal Estate £1,672 13s 8d. 6 April. the Will of John Goodwin IVE late of South End Lodge Langley near Slough in the County of Buckingham Corn Salesman & Farmer who died 27/2/1888 at South End Lodge was proved at the Principal Registry by James Parkinson TAYLOR of 28 Great-James-street, Bedford-row in the County of Middlesex Solicitor, Alfred IVE of Market-place Henley-on-Thames in the county of Oxford Wine Merchant and William Henry IVE of St Edith's Kemsing near Sevenoaks in the County of Kent Farmer the Executors." John Goodwin IVE and Jessica Rachel GOODWIN were married on 20 April 1841 at St Mary the Virgin in Datchet, Buckinghamshire. The entry in the GRO index is under IVES not IVE. Jessica Rachel GOODWIN, daughter of Ralph GOODWIN and Ann TAYLOR, was baptized on 13 May 1817 in Datchet, Buckinghamshire. She was born in 1817 in Datchet, Buckinghamshire. She died on 3 March 1883 at the age of 66 at South End Lodge in Langley, Buckinghamshire. Jessica had her estate probated on 14 September 1895 in London.
