92. Edward Peter IVE was baptized on 6 March 1780 in Langley, Buckinghamshire. He was born in 1780 in Langley, Buckinghamshire. He died on 9 June 1840 at the age of 60 in Langley, Buckinghamshire. Edward was buried on 15 June 1840 in Langley, Buckinghamshire. Death Registration: R.D. Eton Vol 6 Page ? between July 1840 and September 1840 . The following entry appears in the London City Apprenticeship Abstracts Index at the S.O.G.

The following is a transcript of Edward's Will written in 1839:-

This is the Last Will and Testament of me Edward Peter Ive of Langley Marish in the County of Buckingham Yeoman I direct all my just debts funeral expenses and the expenses of proving this my will to be paid and discharged out of the residue of my estate hereinafter devised as soon as conveniently may be after my decease by my executors hereinafter named

I give and devise unto to my wife Sophia Ive the legacy or sum of twenty five pounds sterling to be paid to her within one month after my death by my executors hereinafter named out of my personal estate I also give and devise unto my said wife and her assigns during her life the annual sum of or yearly rent charge of one hundred and fifty pounds without any deduction whatsoever to be paid to her by four quarterly payments and the first of such payments to be made on such of the same days as shall first happen after my decease and I charge the same on the residue of my estate hereinafter devised and my will is in case the same annual sum or yearly rent charge or any part thereof shall be behind and unpaid for the space of fifteen days next over or after any of the aforesaid days of payment then and so often it shall and may be lawful to and for my said wife and her assigns to enter upon all and every or any part of the said hereditaments charged with the said annual sum or yearly rent charge as aforesaid and to distrain for the same or for such thereof as shall be so in arrear and all costs and charges occasioned by the non payment thereof and such distress to sell in like manner as for rent reserved by lease of common demise but I do hereby expressly declare and direct that in case my said wife shall sell assign encumber or transfer or in any manner dispose of or anticipate the said annuity or yearly sum of one hundred and fifty pounds or any part thereof then and in such case and from and immediately after such alienation sale assignment or transfer the same annuity or yearly sum shall cease determine and be void and shall ???? and become part of the residue of my estate and effects

I give to my son John Goodwin Ive his heirs executors administrators and assigns all such property and estates as are vested in me upon any trust or trusts to hold the same to my said son John Goodwin Ive his heirs executors administrators and assigns upon the trusts affecting the same and according to the nature and quality thereof

And as to all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my worldly estate and effects as well real as personal I do hereby give devise and bequeath the same and every part and parcel thereof unto and to the use of my two sons Edward Peter Ive and John Goodwin Ive their heirs executors administrators and assigns subject nevertheless to the mortgages charges on my real estate and to the legacy and annuity herein before given to my said wife to hold to them my said sons their heirs executors administrators and assigns according to the nature and quality thereof respectively to and for their own use and benefit

And I do hereby appoint my said sons joint Executors of this my will and revoke all former will and wills and other testamentary dispositions by me at any time of times heretofore made and do publish and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament In witness whereof I the said Edward Peter Ive the testator have at the end of my Last Will and Testament signed my name and affixed my seal this fourteenth day of February One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty Nine ------- Edward Peter Ive ----- Signed by the said Edward Peter Ive the Testator as his will in the presence of us who were both present at the same time and who in his presence have attested and subscribed the same as witnesses --- William Collison 28 Great James Street Bedford Row London --- John Simmons Clerk to Mr Collison


Proved at London 3rd July 1840 before the Worshipful Augustus Frederick Bayford Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the oaths of Edward Peter Ive and John Goodwin Ive the sons the Executors to whom admon was granted having been first sworn duly to administer

Edward Peter IVE and Sophia GOODWIN were married on 23 August 1808 in Langley, Buckinghamshire. Sophia GOODWIN, daughter of Thomas GOODWIN and Ann [--?--], was born in 1779. Death Registration: R.D. Eton Vol 6 Page 221 between April 1852 and June 1852 . She died on 2 June 1852 at the age of 73 in Langley, Buckinghamshire. She was buried in 1852 in Langley, Buckinghamshire.
