93. John Piper IVE was born in 1781 in Langley, Buckinghamshire. He was baptized on 26 September 1781 in Langley, Buckinghamshire. He died on 19 March 1821 at the age of 40 in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. John was buried in 1821 in Langley, Buckinghamshire.

An apprenticeship indenture exists that includes the following:

John Ive son of Edward of Langley, farmer, to Charles Westbury of Eaton in Bucks, grocer and also Citizen and Cordwainer of London, to learn the trade in consideration £100. 4th May 1796

This is the Last Will and Testament of me John Piper Ive of Henley upon Thames in the County of Oxford, Grocer.
I give devise and bequeath all my real and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto my brother William Ive in the County of Bucks, farmer, John Plumbe of Henley upon Thames, draper and James Dixon of the same place Innholder to hold to them their heirs executors advisors and ?????? according to the nature and quality of the same estates respectively upon the trust following (that is to say) upon trust to permit and suffer my dear wife Lucy so long as she shall think fit during her widowhood to carry on my present business in such manner and to such extent as she and my said Trustees shall think most beneficial for my family for the purpose of maintaining and bringing up my children but in case my said wife shall marry again or shall become desirous to retire from my said business before any of my said children shall be competent to carry on the same then upon trust as soon as they my said Trustees in their discretion shall think fit to sell and absolutely dispose of all my said real and personal property in such parts and proportions manner and times as they shall think proper and I declare that the receipts of my said Trustees or the survivor of them shall be good discharges to the purchaser or purchasers thereof and that such purchaser or purchasers shall not be bound to see to the application of such purchase money or be answerable for the misapplication or non application thereof and I direct that the money from time to time to arise by sale of my said real and personal estate shall be invested upon Government or real securities at interest and that my said Trustees for the time being shall be ???????? of the same with power from time to time to vary the securities upon which the same shall be invested so that the same be on Government or real securities upon trust to pay the annual ?????? or dividends thereof to my said wife until the youngest of my children now living or hereafter to be born shall attain the age of twenty one years and when and so soon as the youngest of my said children shall attain the age of twenty one years their upon and to divide the whole of my said property equally between my said wife and all my said children and any after born child or children who shall be then living in equal shares and proportions provided always that it shall that it shall be lawful for my said Trustees for the time being to advance out of the said trust money to any of my said children for their ?????? or advancement in the world whether as a marriage portion or otherwise any other sum or sums not exceeding such child's presumptive share of the said trust money provided also that my said Trustees shall be at liberty from time to time altho' my said business shall be carried on sell any part of my said freehold, leasehold or copyhold property (except the messuage and premises where my said business is carried on) to any person or persons whomsoever with same power to give receipts and the same indemnity to the purchasers thereof as is before expressed with respect to my property hereinbefore directed to be sold and I declare that my said Trustees for the time being shall be possessed of the money to arise by such sale or sales upon the same Trusts as are hereinbefore expressed respecting the money to arise by sale of my aforesaid freehold and personal property provided always that if either of my said Trustees shall die or shall refuse or become incapable of acting in the execution of the aforesaid Trusts it shall be lawful for the surviving or continuing Trustee or Trustees for the time being with the consent of my said wife to nominate another Trustee in the ???? of the Trustee so dying or refusing or becoming incapable to act as aforesaid which new Trustee with the said surviving or continuing Trustee or Trustees be invested with the same powers and estates as are hereinbefore given to my said Trustees and I hereby appoint my said wife and the said William Ive John Plumbe and James Dixon Executrix and Executors of this my will and lastly I revoke all former wills by me heretofore made and declare this only to be my Last Will and Testament in witness whereof I the said John Piper Ive the Testator ???? to this my Last Will and Testament contained in these sheets of paper set my hand and seal this Second day of March One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty One The Mark of X John Piper Ive Signed sealed published and declared by the said John Piper Ive the Testator as and for his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses thereto James Brooks / George Norton / Thos. Proved at London 22 February 1822 before the Judge by the Oaths of Lucy Ive the relict William the brother John Plumbe and James Dixon the executors to whom admon was granted being first sworn by Canon duly to abide.

John Piper IVE and Lucy PAYNE were married on 2 July 1810 in St Mary, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. Lucy PAYNE was born in 1788. She was baptized on 21 June 1788. She died in June 1875 at the age of 87 in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. Lucy was buried on 30 June 1875 in St Mary, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.

In 1841 Lucy and Thomas CARTER are living in Bell Street, Henley, he is a Grocer; their daughter Ann and Lucy's daughter Lucy are living with them.

In 1851 Lucy and Thomas are still in Bell Street, he is described as a Grocer employing 7 men, their daughter Ann and Thomas's sister Martha (aged 40 born Shabbington, Buckinghamshire) are living with them.

In 1861 Lucy is living in Bell Street, Henley, with Thomas CARTER, his occupation is again given as a Grocer; Lucy's now widowed daughter Lucy is living with them, she is described as a House Proprietor.

In 1871 Lucy is living at North Field End, Henley, she is described as widow of a Grocer, her grandchildren Marianne and Fanny BELLINGHAM and Ivy COOK are staying with her.
